Biography

Alfred Akilimani is a senior Agronomist with over fifteen years of experience in sustainable agricultural development, plantation management, and support to smallholder farmers. He is skilled in certified seed production, technical supervision of cooperatives, and the implementation of organic, Fairtrade, SPP, and UTZ certification standards, with strong expertise in both internal and external audits.

He has a solid background in coordinating and managing agricultural and community-based projects funded by international donors, integrating livelihood approaches, sustainable value chain development, and MEAL systems into program delivery. His experience also includes stakeholder engagement, community-based complaint mechanisms, and the promotion of sound environmental and social practices.

Alfred has a strong understanding of local institutional, administrative, and community contexts, combining technical expertise with practical field experience to support the advancement of sustainable agriculture.
