Biography
Corine Bisomerine is a senior professional in agricultural development and agri-food systems transformation with over six years of progressive experience in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She currently serves as Unit Lead and Agricultural Transformation Manager at the African Agricultural Leadership Institute (AALI).
Throughout her career, Corine has worked with several international organizations, including Mercy Corps, the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, and the World Food Program, where she contributed to the design and implementation of programs aimed at strengthening agricultural systems and improving rural livelihoods.
She specializes in the development of inclusive market systems, sustainable natural resource management, and capacity building for agricultural producer organizations. Corine has also played a key role in empowering young people in agriculture by strengthening their technical and entrepreneurial skills and promoting youth engagement in agribusiness.
Her professional experience includes structuring agricultural value chains, facilitating rural financial inclusion, and supporting the adoption of innovative and resilient agricultural business models. She has extensive experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives and managing large-scale development projects.
