Biography
Louange Ntakobajira is an agronomist specialized in crop production, with a strong interest in sustainable waste management and the development of circular agriculture models that promote environmental sustainability and resource efficiency.
He holds a degree from the Evangelical University in Africa (UEA/Bukavu), graduating in 2017, and quickly engaged in local entrepreneurial initiatives in Bukavu focused on waste valorization and agricultural innovation.
He currently serves as Plant Production Technician at the African Agricultural Leadership Institute (AALI), where he contributes to field-based implementation activities under the BBEST project, including the valorization of organic waste through black soldier fly technology and community awareness on innovative and sustainable waste management practices.
Prior to joining AALI, he worked with the RUNRES project in South Kivu, where he coordinated waste sorting, collection, and valorization activities within the GASD–FDA–ASDI–CPCK consortium, supporting the promotion of circular economy approaches at community level.
His commitment to ecological innovation and inclusive solutions has been recognized through several awards and programs, including the Tony Elumelu Foundation (2019), the Nesta Challenge (2021), and the Youth4Climate program (2023).
