AALI’s impact is based on its comparative advantage and synergies that add value to the work done by partners and other development agencies.

AALI is an African-led think tank that accesses and advises political leaders, advancing their political agenda to accelerate agricultural transformation. AALI has the ability to prioritize and focus on the special initiatives of these political leaders, establishing and supporting delivery mechanisms that translate vision into project opportunities in a short period of time. AALI focuses on identifying and nurturing young African leaders and agricultural entrepreneurs, as well as developing a critical mass of exceptional young people to create wealth, jobs and jobs. AALI has a strong track record and expertise in agricultural technology development and diffusion, a unique track record in bringing technologies to scale, and the ability to develop proposals and attract grants from private foundations, as well as work as consultants for development banks and advisers for private sector investors. We offer the following results:

Result 1. Advisory services improve the vision, management and results of national agricultural development programs.

Outcome 2. Empowered youth serve as a modernizing factor in African agricultural development.

Result 3. Agricultural transformation processes are better designed, with more balanced participation and greater and better guaranteed effects.

  1. Agricultural processing

AALI provided considerable input from the design, development of the strategy and action plan to the launch of the Agenda for Agricultural Transformation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (ATA DRC). As a program of the Congolese government, AALI, in concert with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), technically supports the Congolese Ministry of Agriculture in the implementation of the program. In this program AALI intervenes for the mobilization of resources, the empowerment of young people, the popularization of agricultural technologies with an emphasis on small mechanization. He intends to reach 20 African countries where he can identify at least 15 agricultural mentors by 2032.

  1. Youth empowerment

NOTweoperationalized the Youth Brigade initiative, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture of Congo. This is part of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA-DRC). (Welcome).Currently, this brigade is active in three provinces of the DRC, namely Kasai Oriental (Nkuadi), Kinshasa (Mongata) and South Kivu (Ruzizi Plain). The goal is to cover all 26 provinces and particularly the 145 territories of the country.

As part of its mission, this Brigade is called upon to create a network of 1,500 young Champions in 20 countries, in order toto serve as catalysts of change in agricultural development; offer attractive business models and technologies to young people through a network of agribusiness hubs; reaching the youngest through professional agriculture in secondary schools; and popularize small-scale mechanization, higher value and value-added enterprises and digital agriculture.
