Organization Structure
AALI brings together African Agricultural Professionals who together have over 250 years of experience in the development of African Agriculture and are eager to take this development in a new direction for Agricultural Transformation.
Its organizational structure is composed of a Board of Trustees, the TOP management, the Senior Management, and four (4) operational departments (Leadership consulting services, Youth empowerment, Agricultural transformation process, administration, and logistics) as well as communication and monitoring and evaluation departments.
Top Management
The TOP Management elaborates and guides all strategic and resource mobilization issues for the organization. They report to the Board of Trustees according to the governance structure of the African Agricultural Leadership Institute.

in Agronomy, and over 30 years

Paul L. Woomer holds a PhD in Agronomy

experience in institutional development

Senior Management
The Senior Management deals with all operational, financial and administrative issues and orientations of the organization, as well as capacity building and outreach.
Dr Chris Okafor has over 30 years’ experience in managing transformational agricultural development projects including agri-enterprises and human capacity development across multiple sectors, research and development organizations in sub-Saharan Africa.
Shalewa Sholola is the Director of Finance. He provides high-level, proactive financial expertise and direction for both short-term and long-term financial planning and management. He heads the Finance Directorate, manages financial support to the Institute, and oversees the fiscal management systems,
David BUGEME MUGISHO, is a PhD in Agronomic Sciences, plant protection orientation, particularly integrated pest management. He obtained this title in 2009 from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
Dr Mitima Djuma has a medical degree with over 20 years’ experience in the humanitarian, development and social impact sectors. His career has been marked by several Country Director positions in several international organizations where he led high-impact investment initiatives to strengthen health systems and coordinate national and regional programs.
Ms. Dolapo Ogunsola holds a Masters Degree in Communications & Advocacy from the University of Ibadan. Her professional experience covers leadership support and liaison, youth empowerment, advocacy and outreach, publication coordination, corporate strategy development and promotion.
